So near and yet so far
7RL & 9F about 8cm square
So the lining was about as good as I've done on practise skin, and trust me, the shading on the leaves was going well, until....I hit a leaf with a 'very' dark purple*(far left). Why? because I left the black lining ink next to the ink cap with dark purple and dipped in the wrong cap. Fuck...it was too late
Plan was to shade only with colours, which worked to a degree. I used to always colour and shade with flats but recently I've been working with mags. It was nice to go back and feel very familiar...I liked it. In particular I liked tilting and turning to the corner for very tight spaces, even putting some lines in to 'crease' a couple of leaves; where a mag is that bit wider.
I fancy trying something similar without lining, though marking the practise skin in a way that doesn't wipe off is tricky. Any sugegstions?
