hello everyone

Post by ojay on Thu Jun 09, 2016 3:18 pm

Thank goodness you guys are here! I appreciate you all letting me have the opportunity to join your group. I really enjoy all of the art work and tattoo pics posted.I'm a begginer at tattooing and have found it to be really difficult to find help from those that know so I like many others started self butchering lessons on myself approximately 4 months now.I've learned a lot of hard but very valuable lessons. I apologize in advance for the lack of knowledge I bring to the table and the eye soars I most likely will share with you all.On a better note I sure can say what not to do lol. Once again thank you all and god bless.

Welcome ojay.

So far as a bit of "self butchering" it is part of the road to experience. "Experience is what you get when you don't get what you wanted." LOL But that's how you get better, seeing what works and cussing a lot and trying different ways when it doesn't. Just think of it as priming the canvas for later when you start learning how to do cover-ups.

So far as the people who won't help or encourage beginners, and then claim they are so dedicated to the art? That makes no sense. You don't see good artists who paint or sculpt trying to discourage others from buying and using good quality brushes and paints or clay or etc.

Anyway, 4 months and you're still sticking with it? You've got great potential right there. Fun, isn't it? Cool

Thank you all for the warm welcoming. Yes I have to say I've loved every second of my experience thus far. I've had a lot of hard times but good times have honestly out weighed the bad. I know I'm not very good at the art yet and I hear all the time how I shouldn't practice on myself but to my defense, I don't think anyone tattooing could just stop. I really will sacrifice every inch of my body to be able to give just one beautiful piece to someone else someday. I'm quite obsessed lol

i for one think you should practice on yourself. and you can always fix your mistakes later, for the most part. and in covered area, till you can pull off a decent one.

and don't hesitate to fuck up your friends either, thats what friends are for... you fix them up later too if they are still your friends.

good luck
