magnum tubes

Post by Ketchup Kid on Sat Jun 18, 2016 1:15 am

i order these 7mag needle and tube combos (comes wrapped together) off cheapy source.

i notice a big amount of play side to side, almost 1 mm. this is bound to affect accuracy because there is not stablizing for side to side lateral movement of the needle.

do i need to stop buying this stuff or is it normal?
i work off the needle whenever i can and see where its hitting but still, there seems to be this side to side play that i don't think should be there...

any help appreciated

All mine have play, if they fit really snug then they will not work with a direct drive.

wow, never thought about that one,
but we use diamond tips to stabilize lining needles,
so all that side to side play really bothers me.
if the side to side movement is consistent with a direct drive, that would make sense. but on the regular that just goes up and down, the side to side play is inconsistent and i would think accuracy suffers.

thanks at least i know it aint just me.
