Stencil fluid
Here's an age old debate. What is the best stencil applicator? I have used many different ones from speed stick to home made concoctions of speed stick mixed with hand sanitiser and aloa vera or hibiscus and hand sanitiser etc etc. Also used stencil stuff and currently have grip system one.
So, I just purchased some Electrum stencil primer to see how it compares to any of the others I have tried. There is a good You Tube comparison test if stencil stuff vs electrum. When it arrives I will post a review. Just interested to know what everyone else thinks is best for them?

Re: Stencil fluid
Recently started using "stencil care' on pigskin, which is difficult to get any stencil to stick.
Any ways this stuff is like the proverbial 'shit to a blanket'. I have genuinely had problems removing it at the end of a piece with loads of rubbing alcohol...it's awesome. You can work from anywhere and in any direction, doesn't matter as the stencils going nowhere. Can't say 'best' as I haven't tried them all, but I can say excellent product.
It's the one with dolphins on the bottle and like all others you MUST give it 10-15 minutes drying time.

Re: Stencil fluid
Ive always used pure dettol in a spray bottle. I spray it onto my blue roll and rub on the area untill tacky then apply stencil. Its always been effective for me. The only problem is the getting used to the 'clean bathroom' smell

Re: Stencil fluid
I have used Dettol, Pin Up brand and stencil stuff, they all do the job but I tend to stick to stencil stuff now.
I found that I could lose a stencil part way through the tattoo due to the alcohol content of the green soap or ink when you wipe, since using only a paper towel dampened in water, the stencil stays for the duration of the outline.

Re: Stencil fluid
I just use the home made stencil shit. Speed stick aloe Vera gel and hand sanitizer. Works well, never have a problem with it wiping off during the tattoo.

I've alway stuck to any water based lubricant, it seems to hold the stencil for ages...

Lou - As you know I also have system one and to be honest there's not a lot in it between that and the Electrum.
