After couple weeks heal, 2nd proper run

Post by Ketchup Kid on Fri May 27, 2016 7:54 pm

2nd pass after heal

all the problem areas have been smoothed out and filled as far as i care. the fill meets right up to the outline, traces of corrected outlines are blended in... good enough...

i used a 7mag and nothing else. i see now why it is the way to go.

i twisted and angled the magnum for different effects, works well, surprised at precision

but i need a proper tube that does not have a bunch of side play that the cheap tubes i used have, that was holding me back and complicating shit.

the skin there is tough and weird and doesn't fill normal, you can literally go on and on and on, pound a bunch of ink and still takes more...

but i think 3 hours is long enough and will only look better as it heals. time to move on...

thanks for all the tips to all...

About the needle size debate, I always go as big as posible, to get the job done fast (Not in the case of lining).
Also, by doing my shades and color with the biggest needles to begin with, kinds of help me not to overdo the detailing ind the peice, and keep it a bit more simple, wich is often what makes a better tattoo I think.

With the liner, if I wanna go bold, I run a 9, and then beef it up.

Try a 7 mag, I have been using them loads recently and they fill great, you can also use a 7 or 9 round shader to get to the edges of the outline if you cant manage it with the mag, regarding outline, 9 liner for me.

I thought using small groupings like 5rl is always best I learned this is not the case.
