cheyenne hawk STYLE rotary needle cartridges
Hi all - well I fell for it and bought a knock-off cheyenne hawk rotary machine from China - through a tat supply shop here in Denver - it's a good machine I really like it - and hope to one day be able to get a real one - in the meantime - I have to get the needle cartridges from this shop - I guess ??? but they have been held up for weeks now in customs or whatever BS and so I am trying to figure out an alternative supplier - ebay seems to have some but from their feedback I am not sure if it's worth trying to buy anything from China myself - anyone have any experience with this?
I guess this is why you spend the big bucks up front and get the authentic needles - so you don't have to suffer from highway robbery and crap later with the knock-offs.

I have some experince with purchasin cartridges on Ebay.
It was the EZ needles, and I hate em, quality of the needles are low, compared to Cheyennes (and they splatter the ink alot).
I do have some T-tech needles that I find to be ok, and just recieved two packeges of Elite cartrigde needles, andtested a 9 liner BP today - I liked it.
But the Cheyennes are still second to non.
I just dont purchase knock-offs, machines or needles.
Be willing to spend the money to make the money, nothing comes cheap, and it will show on your artwork at the end of the day - its my opinion.

Re: cheyenne hawk STYLE rotary needle cartridges
i am not making money at the moment because I am still working my way back in to the business and practicing - on skin and fake skin. I used my savings to buy what I needed to get started. I fell for the knock-off by accident. It's not a bad machine really, but I am beholden to these people now. Once I start making money I intend to buy the Cheyenne pen. Until then I have to use what I have. Thanks.

Dont take this the wrong way, I wish you all the best and luck.
And it was not about if you made any money yet, I myself still use more money on equipment than i earn.
Im just saying that, and this is in my opinion and not the final truth, you got to be willing to sacrifice.
And also the amount of money you put in to it, shows how deeply you want this, and how much you respect the game and the people you going to work on.
There is no doubt in my mind, that better equipment makes better results.
And what I hear you say is - when you have made some money on some "stupid people" then you will by better equipment.
Does my thaugts make any sence? cause Im not trying to be rude at all, just trying to show what you maybe actually saying
All the best

I agree with Rohr 100% I've spent way more money on equipment and supplies then I've made. Equipment makes a difference. Even when it comes to your needles. You might think there's no difference, but watch when you go from bullshit needles to good needles you'll feel the difference.
